People are starting to prepare, vacations are winding down, and excitement is in the air. It’s hard to miss, Harvest is almost among us, and as far as Paso Robles goes, it doesn’t get any more exciting than that. Paso Robles grows some of the best wine grapes in California and First Crush is all about getting you involved in the fun of harvest season. This year we will be doing something a little different though, and it will all come down to the main event: a Winemaker Dinner & Harvest Celebration at Villa San Juliette.
This new winery is the buzz of Paso Robles and we are very excited to be part of their first big event as a Paso Robles winery. Our winemaker dinner will be held on Saturday, October 6 at Villa San Juliette and will feature a locally-inspired, seasonal four-course dinner prepared by Chef Jeff Scott. “Crush-tomers” will be able to enjoy the evening under the stars with some of the most delicious dishes around while dancing away the night with Paso’s own Acoustify, a local band that has a tendency to promise a good time.
The dinner will be a relaxing way to unwind after a day of harvesting and winemaking, and will also allow our “crush-tomers” the chance to mingle with the owners of Villa San Juliette, Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick, who also produce American Idol, and also get to know their winemaker, Adam Lazzare, who was named one of The Top Five Winemakers in 2006 by the San Francisco Chronicle, among other fabulous prizes and awards.
This team makes some great wines and we here at First Crush are honored to be involved. This year’s Harvest Crush Encounter is going to be one for the books!
