[pruh-mis-kyoo-uh’s] Characterized by or involving indiscriminate mingling or association, especially having sexual relations with a number of partners on a casual basis. Becky’s 2009 UPB (unique Paso blend) is an indiscriminate wine for discriminating tastes but it’s anything but casual. This blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot exhibits all of the complexities and characteristics of each of the three varietals. It’s smoky and leathery upfront with hints of black cherry and spice, and is smooth with a medium-body on the tongue. It has lingering, chocolately finish that makes it a perfect partner for lamb, venison and spicey foods. Like a casual romance, with only 50 cases produced, Promiscuous won’t last long.
